 So it was the last class of 'basics of Illustration' from Mr  Dan  presented by  Envato+ . The 3 hours course took me quite a long time to finish. But then I didn't want to hurry at all. I was doing logos, making my Fiverr, Upwork, Behance, dribble etc. Doing digital marketing as well. Even tho I am okay with the pace, I could be more consistent with the classes and could finish it at least a week earlier.  In this last class from Envato+ of the basic of illustrator, we were taught to make Patterns. Patterns are amazing to enhance any artwork by a big margin. Dan made the pattern with the alphabet M. I was going to do with D. So first created the illustration of the alphabet D. Then adding offset path to widen up. Copy a version of the letter and reflect it to give it the look of opposite letters.    Then the magic happened. From the tools at the top, opening the Pattern window and selecting "Make" crates so many options to create a variety of pattern...

 Remember what I said in the last blog? The flag with the text created in the last class,  that gave me an idea for my next illustration. So I started with a similar box of colours to create the art I was visioning.             My idea was to wrap the boxes and clone them and place each other upside down to make a 'perspective view'. And then draw a girl and a guy sitting inside the box minding their own business while their pets being social. Might be the start of a Hello.       This was the sketching process. Of course not the initial concept sketch. That one is way too gibberish to understand.             After colouring, it would look better I promise.         After colouring and shading, the task was to create their pets. I was supposed to write this on 14th June. These past two days I didn't get time to do anything nor to write this. I found a Logo contest from IGG very late and the deadline was on the 16th. I made 4 logos and 3 slogans in different formats in the two days. Was such hectic. I'll write about that in the next blog. For now, I shall write what I learned in the last class of  Envato+ on the 12th and 13th of June. It was all about Envelope Distort which can be found on the left side of the Illustrator in the toolboxes. First on texts and then on objects. These tools are so unique and interesting.  "The life of a digital artist" - It was a project I was working on the night before the last blog. Fell asleep that night while working on it. The next day I clearly couldn't work on it at all, because, reasons. I wrote about it in the last blog.  I wanted to draw this one for a few days then. I wanted to have this illustration that conveys the diligence of a digital artist, any freelancer to be honest. Well, it could speak for any workaholics from any industry. My brother is a banker and works on codings and creates apps. He is quite like that as well. No more beating around the bushes. The drawing was this: I won't make this blog longer.  I was working on a project called "Life of a digital artist". Literally fell asleep to it. Woke up in the middle of the night and decided to save it for the next day. Sun rose and my day began. Wait, let me rephrase. Sun rose and hours passed. Then I woke up. It's a new day and an old project. I was envisioning the drawing I was going to do for the day. Was planning various details and ways to approach the outcome I was intending.  It was almost 12pm and I still hadn't started on the remaining work from the previous night. I was working on making Logos and posting them on my  dribble  and  behance . Created Fiverr and Upwork as well to sell products online. I will talk more about it later. I was having coffee and finishing all these tasks while listening to music on YouTube. I had to clean my room after I was done with logos. I was cleaning and organizing hoarded stuff. It was kind of like Dota 2. But a little less fun and scarier. Misty foggy atmosphere sheltering a wild beast. One whose eyes can be seen through the clouds. The dream was so messy yet perfectly alluring. When I woke up, I remembered a tad bits of it. But the environment and the beast stuck in my head. I was having my coffee and only thinking about the possible ways to capture my dream through illustration. Perfect. That'd be a great way to increase my skill and to preserve a memory. Next, I wanted to add a tree. It would be a cinematic angle. Only a part of the tree would be visible. I want to add an archer lady. Better if she is in action.
